A TRIBUTE

This is dedicated to the memory of a man who up until 1987 was a stranger to me.

The man I am speaking of was my Father-In-Law.

Thomas McEwan was born and brought up in Holytown, Lanarkshire.

Tom spent a little time in the R.A.F just after the 2nd world war and spent many years after this

working for British Steel until his retirement in the early 1980's.

He had one brother who stayed in Holytown when he married,

whereas Tom moved to Calderbank when he married Agnes in the early 1950's.

He had six of a Family, 5 daughters and one son.

The youngest of the daughters Alison became my wife.

As fate would have it Tom passed away just short of their 50th Anniversary.

Tom is sadly missed by Alison, myself, my two boys and by many more.

He was finally laid to rest in Holytown cemetary.

I give thanks to him , for without him Alison would not be here and in turn

my two boys Ross and Jason neither.
